Jinna K Russell, M.S., L.P.C. has a holistic private practice in Dallas, TX.

I am very interested in the different ways different people respond to therapy. With this in mind, I use varying modalities to benefit each client in an individualized way.

I am also a dedicated animal lover and believes that animals have a natural healing power. My dog, Pongo, goes to work with me every day and is "on call" for special sessions. He is naturally drawn to people in pain and offers a calm and peaceful presence to assist in their process. (To read more about Pongo, please click on Pet Therapists).

Equine Assisted Psychotherapy is another tool I utilize for a more experiential therapy session. A client is actually in the arena with the equine team (an equine specialist, the horse and me, the therapist). The session is completely ground work so there is no riding involved and the results are profound. It is a natural interaction between client and horse with little intervention from the therapist. Processing is completed between the client and therapist at the end of sessions.

Hypnotherapy, Guided Imagery and Energy work is also integrated into the sessions where appropriate. This is a very relaxing way to learn better coping skills and how to stay calm and relaxed in stressful situations.

Of course, traditional talk therapy is a valued and important part of the process. Conscious Wellness Center is designed to use the natural surroundings to better foster healing. My practice is widely varied but end-of-life work, grief work, healing from trauma and transitional work is a special interest. I am also very dedicated to helping animals who are experiencing these same life challenges and transitions.

I am a member of the American Counseling Association, E.A.G.A.L.A., American Society of Clinical Hypnotherapist,  Delta Society (Pet Assisted Therapy), Association of Pet Loss and Berevement, Weimaraner Rescue of North Texas and Bluebonnet Equine Rescue.
